Maravilloso hotel de estilo japonés

Maravilloso hotel de estilo japonés con mucho encanto y un servicio excelente. Decoración impecable, espacioso, equipado con todo tipo de detalles, privacidad total y bien ubicado. Como ejemplo, el cuarto de baño dispone de una bañera con vistas a un jardín privado realmente bonito. Desayuno estupendo con productos de primera calidad. La atención de la encantadora Ryoko, siempre amable y dispuesta a ayudar es un valor añadido que hacen que la estancia en este hotel sea insuperable. Una experiencia única y difícil de olvidar.

Best accomodation I have ever stayed in. Just as beautiful as pictures suggest (if not more)

This was truly the best accomodation we have ever stayed in and for sure the best during our 3 weeks travel across Japan. The accomodation basically consists of a two floored house (so much space is so rare in Japan), with a beautiful modern bathroom on ground level including a bathtube facing out to a wonderful zen garden. The main rooms are on the first floor with a massive living room, a tatami room and a bedroom with the biggest and most comfortable bed. All rooms were spotless clean, bathrobes and pyjamas were offered. The bedroom view and balcony to the zen garden outside created a lovely and relaxing atmosphere. One of the best things definitely was the breakfast which is provided in an extra breakfast room downstairs at the café (which you cannot here from the flat) - not only is the room beautiful and very special but the breakfast itself was absolutely delicious: every day different sorts of freshly baked bread, incredibel pastries (so pretty!), fresh fruit and vegetables created in the most delicious and delicate way. We couldnt have asked or wished for more. On top of all this is Ryoko as lovely, welcoming and very thoughtful and caring host (pick up service from the train station, extra blankets unasked when the weather turned colder). This accomodation made our trip to Kanazawa extra special and unforgettable!

Amazing stay - a real highlight

We visited Kanazawa purely to stay at Hotel 101. We were looking for traditional accommodation with some familiar creature comforts - and wow! This old Japanese house is very spacious, has been expertly restored and retains its exquisite features. The bed was the most comfortable we have slept in, the Japanese garden was delightful, and the bathroom and shower were perfect. Ryoko was a wonderful host and concierge, and helped us plan our trip so nicely. Breakfast was a real treat, and dinner at Origo (the restaurant downstairs) was a highlight. We felt very comfortable, relaxed and very well looked after - wish we had more time here! Two nights was not enough and we would love to come back.

I want to gatekeep this place, but Ryoko deserves the public praise and attention. Exceptional!

Ryoko was an amazing host. She picked us up from the train station, and we had daily breakfasts hosted by her out of her cafe with unlimited espresso beverages :O On top of this all, we were there as a family with my toddlers and they were both smitten by her hospitality and missed her when we left Kanazawa. The hotel is a recently historic Japanese home which was a beautiful setting nestled next to a peaceful courtyard garden. We would love to come back!

By far the best hotel that we have seen in Japan. Very spacious, very tastefully decorated, extremely friendly service, wonderful breakfast, excellent location. We would have loved to stay longer!

Outstanding Luxury and Comfort

Ryoko our host was incredible, from meeting at the train station offering a free shuttle service, she was charming and incredibly respectful. The property is homely, warm and even more beautiful than the images. The property is super luxurious and stylish and restored to the highest level with outstanding traditional Japanese craftsmanship. It felt like we stayed in a property that would feature in a Kinfolk Magazine, that is how contemporary stylish and beautiful this charming property is. The zen like qualities made us feel calm and relaxed from the moment we stepped foot inside. Everything we needed to hand. The beds superbly comfortable with luxurious bedding. The bathroom stylish yet comfortable and luxurious overlooking the zen garden, having a soak in the temperature controlled bath tub was exactly what we needed after a long and exhausting journey. Ryoko offered a free laundry service. It was not only kind but very helpful. The breakfast served daily in Angolo Cafe situated at the front of the property was delicious. She kept the menu interesting with daily different offerings of outstanding quality food. The coffee is unbelievable! Even the WiFi was on point. We cannot recommend this property enough. We are so glad this was our first property and stay in Japan, best choice. Would stay here again. Location is perfect. 10 minutes walk from train station, 10 minutes walk to Omichi Market.

The property was gorgeous! It is so quintessential and traditional Japanese style yet updated to function perfectly! While the advertising photos are beautiful the actual feel is even more peaceful and calming. Ryoko and her staff are as sweet, helpful and accommodating as you could want. You are the only guests and made to feel special while having all the privacy you would want.

Exceptional

Our stay at this machiya in Kanazawa was nothing short of incredible! It was such a special experience to stay in a traditional machiya and immerse ourselves in authentic Japanese culture, all while enjoying the comfort of a clean and modern touch. The attention to detail in the design was outstanding. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that the machiya is reserved for one family per night, meaning we had the entire space to ourselves. This made the experience feel even more private and relaxing. One of the highlights was soaking in the bath while gazing at a beautiful Japanese garden. What truly made our stay exceptional was the outstanding customer service. Our host went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Her warmth and hospitality left us feeling completely relaxed and truly touched. This stay was worth every penny, and I can’t recommend it enough! I’ll definitely be back the next time I visit Kanazawa. Thank you for such a memorable experience!

L’hotel 101 è un albergo che possiede una sola stanza e si trova all’interno di una favolosa dimora a due piani in stile giapponese. In realtà soggiornare qui significa sostanzialmente avere a propria esclusiva disposizione non una stanza ma un’intero appartamento con un grande salone, anticamera ed enorme camera da letto con vista su un giardino privato alla giapponese. La proprietaria, Ryoko, ha vissuto diversi anni in Italia ed è riuscita, nell’arredamento e nell’atmosfera, a coniugare perfettamente eleganza e fascino della tradizione giapponese con le comodità e il lusso moderni. Insomma, ci piaceva talmente tanto la nostra sistemazione che spesso siamo tornati a casa prima per rilassarci e goderci un ambiente così bello e affascinante. In conclusione, fatevi un regalo e prenotate la stanza all’hotel 101. L’unico problema che potreste riscontrare è che andando via vorreste esserci stati una notte in più! Appunto per gli italiani : Ryoko parla benissimo italiano e soprattutto fanno caffè e cappuccini a regola d’arte! Oltre all’albergo gestisce anche una piccola caffetteria adiacente, quindi se non doveste riuscire a trovare posto per dormire ma volete bere un ottimo caffè e fare una colazione all’italiana a Kanazawa è sempre questo il posto giusto!

« Époustouflant et Inoubliable Séjour »

TOUT! Le hôtel est incroyable, je me sentais dans une maison japonaise traditionnelle que pour moi et ma chérie, le personnel plus attentionné que j’ai déjà eu, le petit-déjeuner servis dans une chambre particulière face à un jolie jardin, la salle de bain avec vue…bref tout était époustouflant Un grand merci au personnel d’avoir été si attentionné vers nous, vraiment une expérience inoubliable à Kanazawa.

A wonderful welcome from the owner. A beautiful suite decorated in traditional Japanese style but with modern touches. Fresh flowers in the entrance, a beautiful garden. The breakfast was excellent too.

« Un accueil exceptionnel dans un endroit magique. »

Un accueil exceptionnel! Ryoko est venu nous chercher à la gare. Elle a nous a aidé au delà de nos attentes pour régler des problèmes de réservation de restaurant. L'appartement est encore plus beaux que sur les photos et la décoration particulièrement soignée. Le petit déjeuner servi dans une salle privée etait parfait. Nous aurions adoré y rester plus longtemps! De notre voyage de trois semaines, c'est le 101 Kanazawa qui restera notre meilleure expérience hôtelière. Merci ️!!
